CFD Well-Being Education Grants - Cycle 7 (2023 Sep - 2024 Feb)

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Would you benefit from training or continuing education toward resilience and well-being?

The Center for Faculty Development Office for Well-Being is pleased to announce the next round of applications for Well-Being Education Grants. These grants (up to $750 per year) will help defray the cost of professional training or continuing education around resilience and well-being. The grant is open to clinicians and investigators-graduate students, post-docs, residents, fellows, and faculty-who have identified a program of interest in the coming months.

Background

Recognizing the need for support around resilience and well-being, the Center for Faculty Development Office for Well-Being has established Well-Being Education Grants to support the pursuit of training or continuing education in these areas for trainees and faculty. Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Activities consistent with the MA BORIM policy on physician well-being and burnout
  • Mindfulness or stress management programs
  • Training Courses in the creative arts
  • Teacher training in movement/fitness programs

Application Guidelines

  • The applicant must have plans to attend a training/conference between September 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024.
  • Those interested must apply in advance of the program and may not receive support for an event that has already occurred.
  • To ensure full consideration for the award, the brief online application must be completed in its entirety. Please note: only completed applications will be considered.
  • This is a one-time grant per annual cycle and is to be specifically allocated to the program stated on your application.
  • Faculty and trainees can also request a grant that supports a group. The overall focus of a proposed group project (such as a workshop, a training, a retreat, an outing) needs to include a specific outcome from this group activity that is linked to well-being.
