Are you interested in reducing your accent and improving pronunciation?

 

The NEW! Accent Reduction & Conversation (ARC) course is an 8-week course that is designed to help non-native speakers of English improve their pronunciation and speaking skills, enabling them to speak more fluently, coherently, and confidently in both formal and informal settings.

Areas of focus for this course:

  • Pronunciation challenges & inconsistencies in English spelling and pronunciation
  • Active listening skills & interpersonal communication styles
  • Cultural differences in communication
  • Public speaking skills and small talk
  • Speaking and participation strategies. 


Eligibility:

Participation in the course is limited to MGH researchers:

  • MGH Faculty
  • Research and Clinical Research Fellows
  • Graduate Students


Course Description: 

Time Commitment: This 8-week course will require a time commitment of one late afternoon per week starting on March 1, 2022. Accent Reducation & Conversation classes will be held virtually through Zoom. Attendance is required in order to receive the full benefits of the course.
